The AIPA, the International Association of the American Press was
constituted in 2009 and is a free association of journalists that has
the purpose of promoting the free practice of the profession, an ethical
journalism, and to provide information, professional protection and
updating for journalists, especially those who are at the beginning of
their career or are not protected by associations of the category
because of political reasons in their own country.
The AIPA's main purposes are:
1) Defending the freedom of the press;
2) The plurality of newspapers;
3) Defending the rights and the moral interests of the category
